The SEC 2015 is now officially over. The last day was the match play day. Time for new motivation for players that did not do too well in strokeplay and time to recharge for those who did.

We saw a bit of both in the match play finals. Reinhard Schuster won the stroke play final and made it all the way to the final of the match play. Nicole Warnecke was silver medalist in the stroke play competition and also made it to the finals in the match play. Their opponents Martin Lundell from Sweden and Johanna Knotzer from Austria did not make the cut for the final two rounds the day before.

In the womens final Johanna got an early lead but Nicole managed to turn things around and take the lead. Johanna fought back and managed to tie the match but in the end Nicole was too strong and the final was decided by an ace on lane 18.

In the mens final Reinhard Schuster from Austria once again found himself in a tight match with a Swedish opponent. Reinhard took the lead early in the contest and he looked like a winner until he lost lane 14. Martin was behind by one and on lane 17 Reinhard missed the ace by millimeters. He gave Martin the chance to come back in the match and Martin did not let that chance slip him by. He aced the course securely.

The sudden death was exiting and well played. Both players aced the six first lanes putting pressure on eachother all the time. The first one to miss was Reinhard on lane sever. Martin now had the chance to win the match and the championship and he did so securing gold number two for Sweden.
