In both men and womens stroke play competition it was a very exciting finish. After nearly 12 rounds of minigolf both women and men went head to head into the last lanes of the final round.

Linda Lundberg started the day a couple of strokes behind Nicole Warnecke from Germany. But she didn't let that bother her. Instead with help from the only 18-round in the competition she closed the gap and from lane 14 in the last round she took over the lead which she then held until the end. She won by two strokes. Another swede, Annelie Lundell, was the best female player the last day and when the 12th round was over she was in a tie with Nicole. Sudden death had to decide the outcome which Nicole won on the first lane.

In the mens competition Stefan Björk impressed with a score of 44 on the first double round. That helped to close the gap of three strokes that Reinhard Schuster of Austria had. The finish was very exciting and in the end they were in a tie. Sudden death had to be played and the outcome was decided on lane four where Stefan missed a couple of shots. Reinhard did not let that chance slip by him and he finished with an ace and got the gold.

Third place was decided by sudden death between three German players. Markus Janssen won that sudden and the bronce medal. Even though Austria won and Sweden came in second you have to be impressed with the depth of the German team. The places from number three to eight were all occupied by German players.

The SEC 2015 finishes tomorrow, Saturday, with the match play competition,
